Dance Steps Academy is one of the most well-established dance academies in Letchworth, here to nurture your passion for dancing. We have over 33 years of experience in providing high-quality dance classes to students of all ages and abilities. We offer a range of dance styles including Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary and Street Dance. Many of our students go on to study at some of the most prestigious dance schools such as London Studio Centre, Addict, LIPA and White Lodge.

Dance Steps Academy’s principal Sarah Johnson (A.I.S.T.D.Dip) trained and received her dance qualifications from the Urdang Academy of Ballet and Performing Arts. At the age of 23 years, Sarah took over the already established and popular Dance Steps Academy. The School has now doubled in size and offers a variety of lessons for children from the age of 3 years. Sarah has a wealth of experience having taught as the Classical and Jazz tutor at North Herts College on the B.A. and BTec Performing Arts course for many years. Sarah also taught as Ballet Mistress at Stormont Girls School in Potters Bar as well as running a second School in Leverstock Green. Sarah has devoted her time to developing the Letchworth school and over her many years of teaching has seen and coached many students to go on to a career in Dance. Sarah has 2 daughters who love to dance! Molly Johnson is now following in Sarah’s footsteps adding Contemporary Fusion onto the School’s busy timetable.
